About The Body Quarry
How my journey began…
Hello, welcome to The Body Quarry!
I’m Melanie Moore, founder and owner. In February of 2017, I began making major life changes by studying for, and passing, my ACE Personal Training certification. Health and fitness had always been part of my life, in some capacity, since the first time I walked into the recreation center as a Freshman at Oklahoma State University in 1998!
But then life happened...corporate business life! For 15 years after graduating college, retail and bank management had taken their toll on me, mentally and physically. That, combined with losing my dad to lung cancer in November 2016, propelled me into action!
I knew I was destined for better, and I wanted to help others feel the exact same way! I want to be an example to my kids that they can live their dreams and accomplish anything they set their minds to. Since then, I have continued to gain additional certifications and life experience to educate myself and others regarding all things wellness-related. My personal goal is to continue building my body, heart, & mind from the inside out, while sharing my own journey with you. My professional goal, as a Certified Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor, Zumba Instructor, and Silver Sneakers Instructor, is to encourage and guide you on your own journey.
Based on your needs, I am currently available to do virtual and/or in-person training. With virtual training, I work with a variety of online audio/video platforms to help achieve your goals. With in-person training, I come to you! I am able to meet with clients at your homes or a safe, neutral location.
What people are saying…
“
I'd like to thank Melanie, who runs the Zumba classes at the Yucaipa Senior Center. She has been very motivating and energetic to follow. Recently, my blood glucose numbers were high and almost to the point of being classified as a diabetic. After taking her Zumba classes for a couple of months, my numbers have been lower, and my husband and doctor are surprised at my new numbers. A major contributing factor to this reduction is being involved in Melanie's Zumba classes. Thank you, Melanie, for your inspiration and motivation.
